Ingredients
Extract of Echinacea Purpurea, Goldenseal Root (Hydrastis canadensis)
Echinacea Purpurea is one of the most common species of the Echinacea genus. The herb contains three classes of substances all having immunostimulatory properties: polysaccharides (arabinogalactan), alkylamides (isobutylamides), phenolic compounds (chicory acid). Echinacea’s biologically active compounds have antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory properties.
Goldenseal Root is a perennial herb. The active substances isolated from the rhizomes--alkaloid hydrastine—have mucolytic action; berberine has choleretic and anti-inflammatory properties. Goldenseal root is known as a natural antibiotic and antiseptic remedy. It reduces inflammation of mucous membranes, stimulates digestion, and restores the integrity of the intestinal mucosa and uterus. Furthermore, goldenseal root stimulates the production of white blood cells, which boost the immune system. Goldenseal inhibits the growth of micro-organisms such as Candida, and even some types of parasites.
